Scope: This document specifies the variety origin, characteristics, production environment, cultivation techniques, and file management of the high-grade and high-quality rice variety Taoyuan Xiang Silmiao. This document is applicable to the green cultivation of Taoyuan Xiang Silmiao in Hunan Province. Main technical content: Taoyuan Xiang Silmiao is a high-quality conventional late-rice variety of the indica type, bred by Hunan Taohuayuan Agricultural Technology Co., Ltd., Hunan Taohuayuan Agricultural Research Institute Co., Ltd., and Changde City Agricultural and Forestry Research Institute using Peosijing × R188. It was approved by the National Variety Approval Committee in 2022 (National Variety Approval No. 20226115). It is suitable for late-rice cultivation in areas with low incidence of rice blast in the double-cropping rice regions of Jiangxi Province, Hunan Province, Hubei Province, Anhui Province, and Zhejiang Province. Currently, the planted area has reached over 330,000 mu, with a yield of over 600 kg/mu, achieving significant economic benefits. Establishing standards for the green cultivation of Taoyuan Xiang Silmiao will help further promote and ensure high-quality development of this high-quality rice variety.
