Main technical content: The technical requirements for storing processed willow strips are as follows: After felling, the willow strips used for processing should be bundled promptly and placed in water 60 cm deep to prevent them from drying out. When the temperature rises in spring, the willow strips should be moved to shallow water 15-20 cm deep. When the willow strips sprout, they should be peeled and dried in sunny weather and then bundled and stored. The water quality should meet the requirements of GB 5084, and the air quality should comply with the standards of GB 9137. 4.2 Storage requirements for white willow strips White willow strips are generally stored in dedicated warehouses (indoor). 4.2.1 Water content requirements When bundling white willow strips, they must be dried completely, with a water content controlled between 14% and 18%. Each bundle of white willow strips should not exceed 50 cm in diameter. 4.2.2 Platform requirements The stacking of white willow strips should also be carried out indoors on platforms made of wood or bricks 20-25 cm high (the length and width of the platforms should conform to the layout of the warehouse). 4.2.3 Stacking requirements For standing-bunch storage, generally 50-60 bundles of willow strips are placed in a cluster, with short strips placed inside and long strips placed outside. After the strips are bundled, they should be tied tightly with ropes around the cluster. For sleeping-bunch storage, the stack height should not exceed 2 meters. After stacking, the willow strips in a stack should be tied horizontally with thick ropes or supported by wooden frames with ropes connecting the top and bottom to prevent the stack from collapsing or the bundles from scattering. 4.2.4 Pest control When storing white willow strips, fumigation and application of sulfur dioxide should be used to control pests.
