Scope

This standard specifies the structure, allocation, and usage principles of Chinese standard text encoding, as well as related metadata and management and maintenance.
This standard applies to all abstract intellectual or artistic creations composed of word combinations.
This standard does not apply to any physical products of text works, including various printed publications or electronic formats based on the content of the works. Such as printed articles, e-books, etc. The content expression and carrier presentation of text works should belong to different coding identification systems.
The relationship between Chinese standard text encoding and other standard coding identification systems will be described in detail in Appendix E.
The registration of Chinese standard text encoding and copyright registration are not the same, and naturally do not constitute legal proof of the intellectual property of text works.
