Scope
This standard sets forth the minimum requirements and guidelines for the design and installation of new pipeline systems on offshore production platforms in the oil and gas industry. The maximum pressure of the pipeline system is up to 69,000 kPa (G), and the material requirements within the temperature range meet the requirements of ASME B31.3.
Note: For applications exceeding the pressure and temperature ranges specified in this standard, this standard can be applied, but special consideration should be given to the material characteristics.
Appendix A provides examples of solving pipeline design problems.
