Scope: This standard specifies the technical requirements for flower and fruit management of Dashi grapes. Flower and fruit management 3.1 Thinning flower clusters and flower buds: Thinning flower clusters and flower buds should be carried out promptly after identifying the number and quality of flower clusters. It is generally better to start one week after the flowering period. With the goal of producing about 1,500 kg of grapes per 667 m2, remove flower clusters that are improperly positioned, densely distributed, or poorly developed. 3.2 Flower cluster shaping: Flower cluster shaping and thinning should be carried out simultaneously. Remove small clusters, deformed clusters, and clusters affected by diseases and pests to improve the commercial quality of fruits. 3.3 Setting fruit clusters 3.3.1 Setting fruit cluster number: Determine the number of clusters to be retained based on the expected yield. 3.3.2 Setting cluster period: Set clusters immediately after flowering and fruit dropping (when the fruit size is about the size of mung beans), the sooner the better. 4. Bagging 4.1 The bagging period is generally carried out after setting fruit clusters and thinning fruit. Bagging should be carried out on sunny days and avoid dew and high temperatures. If it rains continuously, wait 2-3 days after the weather stabilizes before bagging. 4.2 Bagging materials: Use grape-specific bags, and the requirements for grape-specific bags shall be in accordance with the provisions of NY/T 1998. 4.3 Pest and disease control before bagging: Carry out pest and disease control before bagging and spray once with fungicides and insecticides. Bag immediately after the spray solution dries. If it rains after spraying, spray again. 4.4 Bagging method: Carry out bagging in accordance with the provisions of NY/T 1998.
