Scope

This standard specifies the methods for determining the protein content in forestry biomass raw materials, reagents and materials, instruments and equipment, analysis steps, and result presentation, etc. This standard is applicable to forestry biomass raw materials such as wood, bamboo, rattan, bark, leaves, fruit shells, etc. This standard adopts two methods, namely the Kjeldahl nitrogen determination method and the Dumas combustion method. The former is a classic method for determining protein content, suitable for various forestry biomass raw materials; the latter is an efficient method for rapidly determining protein content, and is recommended for use in batch rapid detection of forestry biomass raw materials.
