Scope

Scope: This document applies to the open-field production of eggplants. This standard applies to the seedling cultivation, cultivation, and production of eggplants in Yunnan Province. Its improved operations can be referenced for implementation. Main technical content: The standardization level of eggplant-based vegetables in China still lags behind the world's advanced level. Since the 1990s, China has begun to pay attention to the standardization of eggplant-based vegetables, but the research on standardized eggplant production started relatively late and was mainly concentrated in China. In recent years, China has formulated and continuously revised a series of eggplant-related standards, such as "Eggplant" NY/T 581-2002, "Technical Regulations for Eggplant Production" NY/T 1383-2007, "Seeds for Vegetable Crops Part 3: Eggplant" GB 16715.3-2010, and "Green Food Eggplant-Based Vegetables" NY/T 655-2020. Currently, there are two national standards and eight industry standards (seven agricultural industry standards and one commercial industry standard) related to eggplants in China. In addition, there are also a number of local standards and enterprise standards, such as Zhejiang Province's local standard "DB33/T 2321-2021 Technical Regulations for Green Production of Eggplants", Heilongjiang Province's local standard "DB23/T 2653-2020 Technical Regulations for Eggplant Cultivation", and Sichuan Province's local standard "DB51/T 1043-2019 Technical Regulations for Eggplant Production", which put forward specific normative requirements for the technical operation rules of eggplant production in different regions. Up to now, there are no local standards related to eggplant production in Yunnan Province. The formulation and implementation of standards is a long-term and unremitting task.
