Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, principles, reagents, instruments and equipment, instrument installation environmental conditions, sampling, measurement, result processing and expression, and test reports for determining the biomass content in biomass/plastic composites by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy.
This standard is applicable to the determination of the biomass content in non-foamed composites made from wood or other cellulose-based biomass and thermoplastic plastics (PP and PE) as the main raw materials, and processed by extrusion, injection molding, and calendering, etc. The measurement range of the biomass content is 30% to 60%.
