Scope

This standard specifies the basic requirements and content of safety management for the design, manufacture, installation, modification, repair, use, and inspection of autoclaves. This standard applies to autoclaves used in construction and rubber industries, with a working pressure greater than or equal to 0.1 MPa (gauge pressure), a volume greater than or equal to 30 L, and an inner diameter (for non-circular cross-sections, the maximum geometric dimension of the cross-section) greater than or equal to 150 mm. These autoclaves use external steam or compressed air as a pressure source and are used for heat-press processing and steam curing of materials inside the autoclave.
