Scope
This standard applies to porous and honeycomb-structured metals with a porosity of 50% or higher. It uses compression testing methods to determine the first peak value of compression strength, platform stress, platform end point, absorbed energy, absorbed energy efficiency, quasi-elastic gradient, elastic gradient, specified compression stress, and specified compressive strength, among other characteristic values. The compression test is a quasi-static strain test conducted at room temperature.
