This standard specifies the general principles of modular design for electrical and electronic equipment cabinets, the modular dimensions under the SI unit system, the typical dimensions under the inch unit system, the reference points (origins) for modular design of cabinets, the application of two modular dimension systems on a single cabinet, the use of modular design dimensions for cabinets, and the tolerances for modular design of cabinets.
