Scope

This standard specifies the reagents and materials, instruments and equipment, analysis steps, result calculation, recovery rate and precision, and allowable deviations for the high-performance liquid chromatography determination method of 10 whitening and spot-removing agents (magnesium ascorbyl phosphate, ascorbic acid glucoside, β-arbutin, kojic acid, niacinamide, 3O-ethyl ascorbic acid, potassium methoxysalicylate, raspberry ketone glucoside, dipotassium glycyrrhizinate, and 4-butylresorcinol) in cosmetics. This standard is applicable to the determination of 10 whitening and spot-removing agents in water-based, emulsion, ointment, gel, wax-based, and powder-based cosmetics. The detection limit and quantification limit of the standard method are shown in Table A.1 of Appendix A.
