Scope

This document specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking and accompanying documents, packaging, transportation, and storage for anti-glare coatings obtained by electroplating, chemical plating, vacuum plating, and other methods on the surfaces of aerospace optical products. This document is applicable to the inspection and acceptance of anti-glare coatings (such as black nickel plating, black chromium plating, black zinc plating, and black copper plating) on metals and alloys, including aluminum, magnesium, titanium, copper, iron, and their composite materials.
