Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, general requirements, collection, storage, and transportation, and pollution control requirements for waste materials generated during the manufacturing process of small secondary batteries. This standard applies to the recycling and treatment of waste materials generated during the production of small secondary lithium-ion batteries and nickel-metal hydride batteries. Waste materials generated during the production of other batteries can be implemented in accordance with this standard.
