Scope
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, product classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, and storage of polyester packing twine (ropes) for packaging. This standard applies to polyester packing twine (hereinafter referred to as packing twine) made from polyester (polyethylene terephthalate, abbreviated as PET) as the main raw material, which is heated and melted by a screw extruder and then subjected to unidirectional stretching for molding. This standard also applies to packing twine made from polyester processed into yarn and woven into polyester packing ropes (hereinafter referred to as packing ropes).
