Scope

This document stipulates the process for extending the validity period of the nuclear power plant's operating license, the determination of safety demonstration benchmarks, the overall assessment of the power plant, the analysis of time-limited aging, environmental impact assessments, safety improvements and commitments, the supplementation and modification of the final safety analysis report, the preparation of applications for extending the operating license, and the updating of safety benchmarks for continued operation. This document applies to the evaluation activities for extending the validity period of the nuclear power plant's operating license (referred to as "extending the operating license"), and other nuclear facilities may refer to it for use.
