Scope

This standard specifies the basic requirements for self-inspection quality control of electrical and mechanical special equipment installation, modification, repair, and maintenance units (hereinafter referred to as construction units). This standard applies to the quality control work of self-inspection carried out by construction units on the electrical and mechanical special equipment they install, modify, or repair, such as elevators, lifting machinery, and large amusement facilities, as well as the maintenance and repair of elevators. This standard does not apply to the quality control work of self-inspection carried out by construction units on the passenger ropeways they install or modify, or by user units on the special motor vehicles used within their sites (factories).
