Scope
Scope: This document specifies the basic requirements for quality control throughout the entire process of cryopreserved semen production in large-scale boar stations, describes the key points of quality control at each stage of semen production, and proposes technical specifications for storage and transportation. This document can serve as a technical basis for the production management, storage, and transportation of cryopreserved semen in large-scale boar stations. Main technical content: 4.1 Breeding boars 4.1.1 Requirements for introducing breeding boars 4.1.1.1 Breeding boars must come from original breeding farms that have obtained the provincial-level "Livestock and Poultry Production and Operation License". 4.1.1.2 Breeding boars must have complete performance measurement records, their physical appearance characteristics must meet the requirements of the breed, and they must have complete three-generation pedigree information. 4.1.1.3 Their feeding and management must meet the feeding requirements for breeding boars set forth in NY/T 65-2004. 4.1.1.4 The breeding boars must test negative for African swine fever, swine fever, porcine pseudorabies, porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome, foot-and-mouth disease, and Brucella virus antigen. 4.1.1.5 The breeding boars must undergo a quarantine observation period of at least 45-60 days before being introduced into the herd.
