This specification applies to the calibration of fixed point devices used with high-temperature platinum resistance thermometers and standard platinum resistance thermometers in the temperature range of -189.344°C to 961.78°C. (Hereinafter referred to as fixed point devices.) (High-temperature platinum resistance thermometers and standard platinum resistance thermometers are referred to as platinum resistance thermometers.)
