Scope

This document specifies the general framework and operating procedures for the visual evaluation of flexible display devices. This document is applicable to the visual evaluation methods of flexible display devices in the following states: -- Initial state and aging state under standard environmental conditions; -- State under mechanical or environmental stress conditions; -- State after mechanical durability testing, state after environmental durability testing, and state after combined mechanical and environmental durability testing. Note: Visual evaluation under mechanical or environmental stress conditions is usually difficult to achieve, if applicable when using this method. Visual evaluation is carried out by comparing the test samples with reference samples or a set of graded samples. This document provides the framework and procedures for visual evaluation of reference samples or a set of graded samples, and describes the framework and procedures followed in preparing reference samples and a set of graded samples. It also specifies the visual evaluation methods for different types of defects in reference samples and graded samples.
