Scope
This guidance technical document specifies the types of discontinuities in the test samples used for non-destructive testing examinations.
There is no need to specify the types of discontinuities in acoustic emission testing, infrared thermal imaging testing, strain testing, and leak detection, as their situations are special (for example, AT uses artificial sound sources instead).
