Scope

This standard specifies the method for detecting polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) in dye products (see Appendix A).
This standard is applicable to the determination of PCBs in commercial dyes, dye products, dye intermediates, and textile dyeing auxiliaries using gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) or gas chromatography-electron capture detection (GC-ECD).
