GB/T 43921-2024 Non-destructive testing—Ultrasonic testing—Full matrix capture/total focusing technique(FMC/TFM)
Basic Information
Scope
This document specifies the general principles for array ultrasonic testing using full-matrix acquisition/full-focusing technology (FMC/TFM) and related techniques. The aim is to promote the use of FMC/TFM technology for better application in manufacturing process detection, in-service inspection, or post-repair inspection. This document provides application cases for qualitative and quantitative evaluation of damage. This document is applicable to isotropic and uniform low-carbon alloy steels, conventional aerospace-grade aluminum alloys, and titanium alloys. For other materials (such as austenite), recommendations are also provided. This document does not specify discontinuity acceptance grades. For applications of FMC/TFM in detecting welds, see ISO 23864.
