GB/T 40116-2021 Foil bearings—Performance of hydrodynamic gas journal bearings—Testing of static load capacity,friction coefficient and lifetime
Basic Information
Scope
This document describes the performance testing methods and comparison methods of foil gas dynamic radial bearings, which use air (gas) as a lubricant and rely on the gas dynamic pressure generated by the rotating shaft for support. The testing methods presented in this document aim to test and evaluate the static load-bearing capacity, friction coefficient, and service life of foil gas dynamic radial bearings, and to compare the test results obtained under different test conditions (such as the size of the foil gas dynamic radial bearing, the rotating speed of the shaft, environmental air pressure, and humidity, etc.). Since the test conditions can be changed, the static load-bearing capacity of the bearing can be modified by setting different test conditions.
The testing methods described in this document are used under the following conditions:
a) A steady state is a prerequisite for evaluating the static load-bearing capacity, that is, under certain working conditions, the load magnitude, direction, and rotating speed remain constant;
b) Only when the foil gas dynamic radial bearing maintains a constant moment of inertia at a certain rotating speed can it enter the evaluation process;
c) Dynamic loads with time-varying amplitudes and directions are not considered.
