Scope

This standard specifies two methods (Methods A and B) for measuring the dynamic mechanical properties of plastics using a torsion pendulum device. The dynamic mechanical properties of plastics refer to the nature of the energy storage and loss of the torsional modulus under small strain conditions in the frequency range of 0.1 Hz to 10 Hz, which vary with temperature. This standard is applicable to the measurement of the dynamic mechanical properties of plastics, but not to asymmetric composite plastic boards and rubber.
