Scope
This document specifies the requirements for bench tests of radial sliding bearings under fluid hydrodynamic or mixed lubrication conditions during the development of bearings and/or materials.
This document is applicable to the performance testing of single- and multi-layer radial sliding bearings under static and dynamic loading conditions.
This document is not applicable to the dynamic performance testing of lubrication films in radial bearings required for turbine rotor vibration and stability calculations.
Note: To conduct tests based on this document, it is necessary to establish more detailed test procedures.
