Scope

This standard specifies the key points of the method for determining peroxide in oral care products by high-performance liquid chromatography, reagents and standard substances, instruments, analysis steps, result calculation, recovery rate, and standard deviation.
This standard is applicable to the determination of peroxide content in oral care products that use hydrogen peroxide and other compounds or mixtures that release hydrogen peroxide (such as urea peroxide and zinc peroxide) as raw materials.
This standard measures the peroxide content in terms of hydrogen peroxide, with a detection limit of 0.3 μg/mL and a quantification limit of 2.0 μg/mL. If a 1.0 g sample is taken, the minimum detection concentration of hydrogen peroxide is 30 mg/kg, and the minimum quantification concentration is 200 mg/kg.
