Scope

This standard specifies the high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) method for determining the content of chloramines-based antibacterial agents, including lauracloramide, benzethonium chloride, ciprocloramide, mitacloramide, and xitacloramide in toothpaste.
This standard is applicable to the determination of the content of five chloramines-based antibacterial agents in toothpaste.
The method's detection limits in this standard are 0.075 g/kg (for lauracloramide and benzethonium chloride), 0.0125 g/kg (for ciprocloramide and mitacloramide), and 0.025 g/kg (for xitacloramide).
