GB/T 40291-2021 Nuclear instrumentation—High-purity germanium crystals for radiation detectors—Measurement methods of basic characteristics
Basic Information
Scope
This document describes the terminology and test methods for measuring the basic characteristics of high-purity germanium crystals. It includes the net concentration of electroactive impurities (NA-ND), the concentration of deep-level impurity centers, and crystallographic properties. This document is applicable to high-purity germanium crystals used in gamma-ray and X-ray radiation detectors. The net concentration of electroactive impurity centers in these germanium single crystals is less than 1011 cm-3, typically in the order of 1010 cm-3. The test methods listed in this document are not statutory methods, but they are widely used in industry and provide manufacturers with verifiable information to meet their needs. The complete test methods for assembling germanium detectors are given in GB/T 7167-2008 and GB/T 11685-2003.
