Seeding and seedling cultivation 5.1 Seeding time: - Early rice: Around March 12th. - Late rice: Around June 20th. 5.2 Seed quantity: -5.2.1 Seedling field: - For early rice: 30 kg to 40 kg per 666.67 m2. - For late rice: 10 kg to 20 kg per 666.67 m2. -5.2.2 Main field: - For early rice: 3.5 kg to 4 kg per 666.67 m2. - For late rice: 2.5 kg to 3 kg per 666.67 m2. 5.3 Soaking and germination 5.3.1 Soaking and disinfection: - Start soaking the seeds 3-5 days before sowing. Use a large container to soak the seeds in clean water and stir continuously. Remove the empty and shriveled seeds that float on the surface. For early rice seeds, soak them in a fungicide solution to prevent rice blast and seedling stunt disease. For late rice seeds, combine disinfection with the addition of 5% flutriafol to treat both diseases simultaneously. - Germination: - For early rice: Soak for 20-24 hours. For late rice: Soak for 12-13 hours, then remove and drain for 2-3 hours before breaking the seed coats and germinating. 5.4 Seeding 5.4.1 Seedling field preparation: - Select a plot with fertile soil and convenient irrigation and drainage. Prepare sufficient seedling beds per 666.67 m2 (22-25 m2 each). The width of the seedling beds should be 2 tray lengths plus 10 cm. Open 30-40 cm wide and 20 cm deep furrows between beds, and level the beds according to the tray placement requirements, ensuring a smooth and compact surface to facilitate tray placement. 5.4.2 Seedling tray sowing: - Before sowing, apply 10-15 kg of 45% compound fertilizer to the furrows of each 666.67 m2 seedling field and mix it evenly with the furrow soil. Place the seedling trays flat on the prepared beds, press them lightly to ensure the tray bottoms are about 0.5 cm below the soil surface, then fill the trays with furrow soil and le
