Scope
This part of GB/T 17980 specifies the methods and basic requirements for efficacy field trials of insecticides, including solid formulations, liquid formulations, emulsion formulations, and suspension formulations with modes of action such as contact killing, stomach poisoning, and growth regulation, for controlling red fire ants (Solenopsis invicta Buren) in the field (farmland, non-cultivated land, greening areas, nurseries, and flower gardens). This part applies to efficacy field trials of insecticides for controlling red fire ants. Other dosage forms of insecticides for red fire ant field efficacy trials shall be implemented in accordance with this part.
