Abstract
This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, and storage for marine centrifugal pumps and vortex pumps (hereinafter referred to as "pumps"). This standard applies to the design, manufacture, and delivery of various seawater pumps, freshwater pumps, and oil sludge pumps used in ship cooling systems, bilge ballast systems, circulating water systems, fire-fighting systems, auxiliary boiler feedwater systems, and domestic water systems.
