GB/T 8088-2008 Rubber,raw natural and rubber latex,natural—Determination of nitrogen content
Abstract
This standard specifies the routine and semi-micro methods for determining the nitrogen content in natural rubber and natural latex using the Kjeldahl nitrogen determination method. This standard is applicable to the determination of nitrogen content in natural rubber and natural latex. Note: Determining the nitrogen content in natural rubber is used to estimate the protein content in rubber. However, there are also a small amount of non-protein nitrogen components in natural rubber, and these non-protein nitrogen components account for a significant proportion of the total nitrogen content in the dry solids obtained from natural latex.
