Abstract
This standard specifies the definition of thermal analysis, the classification of thermal analysis methods, and related terms and definitions, as well as the related terms and definitions involved in thermal analysis instruments, thermal analysis experiments and technologies, and the expression and application of thermal analysis data. This standard is applicable to the research, development, and application of major thermal analysis methods (such as DSC, DTA, TG, DTA, TMA, etc.), the characterization of various substances (such as polymer materials, drugs, minerals, energetic materials, metal materials, biological products, food, etc.) by thermal analysis, and related management, operation, and standard-setting work.
