Abstract
This document specifies the test method for measuring the static force that causes the femoral head to compress (fracture) or stretch (disintegrate) under specific test conditions.
This document is applicable to modular femoral head structures (for example, a conical connection between a femoral head and a femoral neck) in partial or total hip replacements made of metal and non-metallic materials.
This document does not address the inspection and reporting methods for test samples.
