Abstract
This standard specifies the coding principles, code structure, and codes for ports and related locations in the People's Republic of China. This standard does not include the codes for ports and related locations in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, the Macao Special Administrative Region, and Taiwan Province of China. This standard applies to institutions engaged in international trade, regional trade, and transportation for electronic data exchange and information processing. The codes for ports and related locations in the People's Republic of China provided by this standard are an integral part of the United Nations Code for Ports and Related Locations (UN/LOCODE) system.
