Abstract
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, sample preparation, measurement methods, and test reports for the ferrite grain size of cold-rolled thin sheets of low-carbon steel.
This standard is applicable to the determination of the ferrite grain size of cold-rolled thin sheets of low-carbon steel with a carbon content of less than 0.2%. The grain size of other metal materials with grain shapes similar to those in the grading charts of this standard series can also be measured in accordance with this standard.
