GB/T 6495.5-2025 Photovoltaic devices—Part 5:Determination of the equivalent cell temperature(ECT) of photovoltaic(PV) devices by the open-circuit voltage method
Abstract
This document describes the preferred method for determining the ECT of photovoltaic devices (including photovoltaic cells, photovoltaic modules, and photovoltaic arrays composed of similar components), which aims to compare the thermal characteristics of photovoltaic devices, determine the NOCT or NMOT, and convert the measured current-voltage (I-V) characteristics to equivalent values at other temperatures.
This document is applicable to linear devices where the open-circuit voltage (Voc) exhibits a logarithmic relationship with irradiance under stable conditions. This document can be used for all technologies, but it is necessary to verify that there are no preprocessing effects that affect the measurement.
