GB/T 42399.2-2023 Non-destructive testing instruments—Characterization and verification of ultrasonic phased array equipment—Part 2:Probes
Abstract
This document specifies the performance tests conducted after the completion of the manufacture of phased array probes. This document also stipulates the testing methods and acceptance criteria.
This document applies to the following phased array probes used in non-destructive testing with contact method (with or without wedges) or immersion method, with a center frequency range of 0.5 MHz to 10 MHz:
a) Non-matrix probes
—— Linear array;
—— Ring array;
—— Partial ring-fan array (chrysanthemum-shaped).
b) Two-dimensional matrix probes
This document does not provide testing methods and acceptance criteria for the characteristics of phased array ultrasonic detection instruments or combined systems. These are given separately in ISO 18563-1 and ISO 18563-3.
Note: For the sake of clarity, in this document, "standardized documents" are referred to as "documents".
