GB 19489-2008 Laboratories—General requirements for biosafety
Abstract
This standard specifies the basic requirements for the facilities, equipment, and safety management of laboratories with different biosafety protection levels.
Chapter 5 and Sections 6.1 and 6.2 apply to the basic requirements for biosafety laboratories, and when necessary, they also apply to biosafety laboratories with higher protection levels and animal biosafety laboratories.
For laboratory activities related to the breeding of infected animals, this standard specifies the basic requirements for animal breeding facilities and environments in laboratories. When necessary, Sections 6.3 and 6.4 apply to animal biosafety laboratories with corresponding protection levels.
This standard applies to laboratories involved in the handling of biological factors.
