Abstract
This standard specifies the content, methods, and procedures for external corrosion detection of buried steel oil pipelines, including general principles, data collection, corrosion location prediction, excavation detection, determination of detection cycles, record keeping and reporting, and appendices. This standard applies to liquid petroleum pipelines in full-flow operation. External corrosion detection of steel oil pipelines laid on the ground can be carried out in accordance with this standard.
