GB/T 15579.7-2023 Arc welding equipment—Part 7:Torches
Abstract
This document specifies the safety and structural requirements for welding torches (guns) used in arc welding and similar processes. This document is applicable to manual, mechanically guided, air-cooled, liquid-cooled, electric, and welding torches (guns) with wire spools, as well as smoke-extraction welding torches (guns).
In this document, welding torches (guns) consist of the main body of the welding torch (gun), cable hose assemblies, and other components.
This document is also applicable to cable hose assemblies connecting to power sources and auxiliary equipment.
This document is not applicable to welding clamps used in manual arc welding or cutting torches used in air arc gouging/cutting.
Note 1: Typical similar processes include arc cutting and spraying.
Note 2: Other components are listed in Table A.1 of Appendix A.
Note 3: In this document, the requirements for welding torches and welding guns are the same. For convenience, they are all referred to as welding torches (guns) hereinafter.
