GB/T 28182-2011 Surge arresters containing series gapped structures with rated voltage 52 kV and less
Abstract
This standard applies to porcelain-encased and composite-encased metal oxide surge arresters with internal series gaps designed to limit overvoltages in AC power systems.
This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, and inspection rules for surge arresters with internal series gaps rated at 52 kV and below (hereinafter referred to as "surge arresters").
The surge arresters of the following types and ratings are currently under research and are not covered in this standard. This standard will address these components once more information on the various issues becomes available.
——Surge arresters with series gaps rated at more than 52 kV;
——All surge arresters with external gaps rated at any voltage;
——All surge arresters with parallel gaps rated at any voltage;
——Level 2, Level 3, Level 4, and Level 5 line discharge surge arresters.
