GB/T 230.1-2009 Metallic materials—Rockwell hardness test—Part 1:Test method(scales A、B、C、D、E、F、G、H、K、N、T)
Abstract
This part of GB/T 230 specifies the principles, symbols, and explanations of the Rockwell hardness and surface Rockwell hardness tests for metal materials, as well as the testing equipment, specimens, testing procedures, uncertainty of results, and test reports.
It's worth noting that the hard alloy spherical indenter is a standard Rockwell hardness indenter. If specified in product standards or agreements, the use of steel ball indenters is allowed.
Note 1: It should be pointed out that using two types of balls for hardness testing will yield different results. For special materials or products, other standards may apply.
Note 2: For some materials, the applicable scope may be narrower than that specified.
