GB/T 1845.2-2021 Plastics—Polyethylene (PE) moulding and extrusion materials—Part 2:Preparation of test specimens and determination of properties
Abstract
This document specifies the methods and conditions for the preparation of samples and performance determination of polyethylene (PE) molded and extruded materials. It also stipulates the requirements for the pretreatment of test materials and the adjustment of sample conditions before testing.
This document is applicable to the selection of test methods for characterizing the performance of polyethylene molded and extruded materials. These performances are selected from the general test methods in GB/T 19467.1. It also lists other test methods widely used or of special significance for molded and extruded materials, as well as the determination methods for named properties in Part 1.
In order to ensure the reproducibility and repeatability of test results, the methods specified in this document for sample preparation and condition adjustment, as well as the specified sample sizes and test methods, should be used. Test data obtained from samples prepared under different conditions or using different sample sizes may not be consistent.
