This document specifies the general cabling requirements for residential buildings, which may include one or more buildings, or a building containing multiple residential units. The general cabling specified in this document includes balanced cabling, fiber optic cabling, and coaxial cabling. This document is applicable to the design and planning of general cabling systems supporting residential information and communication technology (ICT) and broadcast communication technology (BCT). This document directly references or cites the following content of GB/T 18233.1—2022: a) The structure and minimum configuration of general cabling in residential buildings; b) The interfaces of telecommunications sockets (TO) and broadcast sockets (BO); c) The performance requirements of cabling links and channels; d) Implementation requirements and options; e) The performance requirements of cabling components; f) Compliance requirements and verification procedures.
