Abstract
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, requirements, test methods, and inspection rules for ultrasonic dental cleaning equipment. This standard applies to ultrasonic dental cleaning equipment (hereinafter referred to as "instruments") that generate continuous or quasi-continuous ultrasonic energy from ultrasonic transducers within the frequency range of 18 kHz to 60 kHz.
