GB/T 19077-2016 Particle size analysis—Laser diffraction methods
Abstract
This standard specifies a particle size analysis method for measuring the particle size distribution of various two-phase systems by analyzing the light scattering characteristics of particles, including powders, sprays, aerosols, suspensions, emulsions, and bubbles in liquids. This standard is applicable to the measurement of particle size distributions for particles with a diameter ranging from 0.1 μm to 3 mm, and is suitable for evaluating the performance of related instruments. By using specially designed instruments and auxiliary conditions, the particle size distribution can be extended to less than 0.1 μm or more than 3 mm. This technology assumes that particles are spherical in the optical model. Therefore, for non-spherical particles, the reported particle size distribution is obtained by matching the theoretical value of the scattering pattern volume of spherical particles with the measured scattering pattern value. The particle size distribution results may differ from those obtained by methods based on other physical principles such as sedimentation and sieving.
