This standard specifies the security threats, security requirements, security mechanisms and security algorithms, device certification certificate profiles, and security functions of broadband customer networks based on public telecommunications networks.
This standard applies to the situation where services and applications provided by telecommunications networks are implemented within broadband customer networks through gateways. It can also be used as a reference for situations where information only circulates between devices within broadband customer networks.
