GB/T 21461.2-2008 Plastics—Ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene(PE-UHMW)moulding and extrusion materials—Part 2:Preparation of test specimens and determination of properties
Abstract
This part of GB/T 21461 specifies the methods for preparing and testing the performance of molded and extruded polyethylene ultra-high molecular weight (PEUHMW) materials. It also stipulates the requirements for pre-treating the test materials and adjusting the state of the samples before testing. This part provides the methods and conditions for sample preparation and performance testing. It lists the suitable and necessary performance characteristics and testing methods for PEUHMW molded and extruded materials. These performance characteristics are selected from the general testing methods specified in GB/T 19467.1—2004. This part stipulates other testing methods widely used or of special significance for PEUHMW molded and extruded materials, as well as the determination methods for the named performance in Part 1. In order to obtain reproducible and comparable test results, the sample preparation and state adjustment methods specified in this part, as well as the prescribed sample sizes and test steps, should be used. Test data obtained from samples prepared using different steps or samples of different sizes may be inconsistent.
